Totally Locally Chapel are staging their FIVER FEST campaign, this is about superb offers for £5 the point here is that LOCAL suppliers can offer the things you want not only cheaper than the sheds (Michelle says no-one else calls out-of town – Tesco – Asda – Morrisons etc “sheds” I say you know what I mean!) but with the value and back-up, expertise and support that your local supplier can offer.

An  example is, at the end of last year I bought a Black and Decker Drill at Chapel DIY, a week or two back it died, a gizmo in the chuck broke and I couldn’t release the drill bit in it. I couldn’t find the receipt, nor any card transaction record.

I phoned Chapel DIY and told them the story and they said “no matter we know you bought it from us”, bring it in we’ll get it fixed. Now as it happens Black and Decker couldn’t fix this, so as we speak a new replacement is winging it’ way to me.

Now think about it, would B&Q or Homebase have done this ?, Amazon? (in your dreams!).
