Old Christmas Cards can help plant new trees….
Help plant trees by giving us your used Christmas cards for recycling.
Ever wondered what to do with your old Christmas Greeting Cards?, seem's a shame to bin them doesn't it? well now we have a way to do some good with them…
Marks & Spencer and the Woodland Trust have a scheme at this time of year to plant new trees. For every 1000 Christmas cards recycled with them before the end of January they will plant one tree, their goal for this year is to plant 10,000 trees. this means that all together 10 million Christmas cards are going to be needed to reach this goal.
We plan to join in so you can either bring your cards to ComputerBits or to any M & S store before 31st Jan to get your cards recycled and help get the trees planted rather than just throwing them away.
Last year over 8.1 million cards where donated meaning 8,100 trees were planted.
