Peter Addie

John Crawshaw from Peterborough sent us this email:

I am seeking information re a Pilot Officer Peter Addie, a 19 year old pilot in 50 Sqn RAF who died on 17th March 1940. His parents were Alan and Effie Addie of Chapel-en-leFrith. Plt Off Addie is buried here in Oundle, Northants and I am seeking further info re his family and the circumstances of his death.

Anything at all would be much appreciated.

Sincerely
John Crawshaw

    Hello Tim,

I must apologise for not responding previously but I have only just seen your reply. Being ex-RAF myself I was intrigued at Peter being buried here in Oundle rather than at Chapel-en-le-Frith. I presume it was because of the Harvey connections to Oundle but am probably wrong! I have collected some info re Peter and his family and would very much appreciate your comments and corrections. Perhaps we could correspond directly by e mail. My address is crawshawja@aol.co

    Best regards
